Created in 1988 Ajman Free Zone is one of the oldest and biggest free zones in the UAE and was given independent status by the ruler of Ajman himself, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. It is home to 12,000 plus businesses from over 165 countries and is one of the biggest export zones in all of UAE by percentage.
Over the years the Ajman Free Zone has been continuously expanded with the addition of new industries and projects like the Ajman Car market in 2014 and the E-commerce and AI Robotics Hub in 2021. But perhaps the biggest addition to the free zone was the Ajman Media City Free Zone that was launched in 2018.
