Established in 1996 Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ) is one of the country’s oldest free zones and spans over 696,000 square meters. As a logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing hub, it plays a crucial role in the economy of Dubai as the business done in the zone contributes more than 5% to Dubai’s GDP annually.
The zone has more than 2700 registered businesses in more than 20 different sectors and it employs over 20,000 trained and skilled professionals. The zone also has 18 plus buildings and more than 256 warehouses, most of which are in the Dubai Industrial Park which is an extension of the zone and where most of the heavy manufacturing industry is based.
