From October 2021 to March 2022, Dubai hosted a World Expo that spanned a 438-hectare area, included 192 nations, 10 international organizations, and thousands of multinational countries, and was visited by more than 25 million people. On the site of this expo, the foundations of Expo City Dubai a revolutionary urban Development project were laid.
The development of the project started in October 2022. Once completed, this mega project is poised to become one of the most futuristic, sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive destinations for people to live. The city will be a free zone and the Expo City Dubai Free Zone is being dubbed as the 15-minute city as everything from your residence to your workplace and places of leisure will be only 15 minutes away.
The city already has the Expo 2020 metro station which will be changed to the Expo City metro station and the Expo City Dubai Free Zone will also have 200,000 square feet of residential and commercial space as well as two schools, a hospital, children and science center, a design district and multiple office spaces.
