About International Humanitarian City

Putting Humanity Above All Else

Founded by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2023, the International Humanitarian City Dubai is not only the largest humanitarian hub in the region but also the world. Located in Dubai near the Al Maktoum Airport and comprising an area of over 135,000 square feet it is known for its humanitarian efforts in the region.

It is a not-for-profit free zone responsible for conducting humanitarian work on a global level and providing rapid aid to people affected by natural disasters, wars, and conflict. It is home to over many international companies and over 80 different nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations, including those working for the United Nations.

It also houses the International Humanitarian Community with its 500-plus members that represent 68 different countries around the world. Among the different crises that the Dubai International Humanitarian City has helped deal with include the 2014 Gaza War COVID-19 pandemic, and the Afghan Refugee crisis in 2022.
